Philip Wykes hosted an open discussion on the growing independence of people, a greater reliance on technology for socialising and the effect on society and future generations.
Petanque is a discussion/meeting group in which participants from a variety of different backgrounds come together once a month. The purpose of Petanque is to construct a temporal environment for exchange and lateral thinking.
An individual or collective is invited to host the evening. In which they present a topic of their choice in whatever form they feel appropriate. Moving between traditional, performative and participatory trajectories.
Petanque is designed to be as accessible as possible, not charging for attendance unless forced due to the nature of location. The meetings take place on the second Tuesday of every month at 7pm and there are a limited number of spaces to each meeting.
Details of upcoming events will be emailed out in advance with links or attachments to any relevant information. If you are interested in taking part please reply to the email to book places. Also if you can think of anyone else who would be interested in taking part please pass on the information.
If you would like to be put on the Petanque mailing list please send an email with Subscribe as the header to claireshallcross@hotmail.com.
