Live bicycle is a documentary on the bicycle, the movement of Critical Mass and the theme of sustainable mobility. Critical Mass is a worldwide movement of cyclists claiming back the streets for the bicycle, the only means of individual non-polluting transportation, which, instead of being encouraged, is penalized by laws and governments of most countries of the world.
The film was shot during three days of global critical mass that was held in Rome on 26, 27 and 28 May 2006 and has happened there in May every year since. Five thousand cyclists come from all over the world to peacefully occupy the streets of Rome by interrupting the flow of thousands of cars each day aligned in endless traffic jams creating smog, stress and accidents.
